Obituary of Anne J. McCormick
Anne J. McCormick, formerly a longtime resident of Clifton Park, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loving family and beloved dog Daisy.
Anne was born in Queens, NY the daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine Leddy. She was a graduate of the Mary Louis Academy in Jamaica Estates. Anne was raised in Flushing NY.
As a young lady she worked for the former First National City Bank, where she met her future husband, Robert A. McCormick. They married on June 29, 1957. Anne and her husband moved to Clifton Park in 1972.
Anne was a homemaker, but most importantly, she was a mother, and later a grandmother. Anne was very involved with the lives of her children and grandchildren, attending every event and milestone, whether big or small. They were her light and joy. Anne was a devout Catholic, and was dedicated to keeping the memory of her parents, and sister MaryEllen, who predeceased her.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband; Robert A. McCormick, two loving sons; Thomas R. (Susan) McCormick and Robert J.(Lynn) McCormick, five precious grandchildren; Thomas, Kara, Daniel, Robert II and Margaret.
Calling hours, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home 1550 Route 9 Clifton Park.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church 347 Old Loudon Rd, Latham, Fr. Anthony Barratt Celebrant. Entombment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
