Obituary of Carmine Liardo

Carmine Liardo, 84, of Hill St., peacefully entered into eternal life on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Born and educated in Naples, Italy, he was the son of the late Salvatore Liardo and Celestina Giordano and came to the United States as a young man. He retired over 20 years ago and had owned and operated Two Brothers From Italy Pizzeria and Restaurant in Cobleskill. He enjoyed gathering and hanging out with his friends at the Italian Club in Albany as well as LoPorto's Restaurant in Troy. Carmine was also a diehard Soccer and Hockey fan. Father of Celeste Liardo, Ann Fasano, Carmine Liardo, Elliot Liardo and Heather Liardo, brother of Maria Liardo, Olympia Ortiz, Alfredo Liardo, Ada Liardo, Carmela Capone, Franco Capone and the late Antonio Liardo and the late Francesco Liardo, also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and his niece Celeste Pirela and her husband Victor Pirela and their children Alexandra and Victor Pirela, Jr., with whom Carmine resided and were his caregivers. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel at Oakwood Cemetery, 186 Oakwood Avenue, Troy, NY 12182 followed by the interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the John J.
