Obituary of Oswaldo Irizarry

Oswaldo "Ozzy" Irizarry, 61, of Lansingburgh, beloved husband of Tammy L. Weaver Irizarry of Lansingburgh, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Oswaldo and Christiana Hendrix Irizarry and was a graduate of Bronx River High School. Ozzy loved fishing, travelling - especially to Jost Van Dyke, keeping busy and tinkering with whatever needed to be done or fixed. He had always been employed in the construction trade. Beloved husband of Tammy, devoted father of Antonio Oswaldo (Victoria) Irizarry of Hanover Park, IL and Ciera Elaine Irizarry of Lansingburgh, dear brother of Eric (Desiree) Irizarry of South Carolina, Linda (late, Raymond) Pizarro of Bronx, NY and Rita (Abduhl) DePass of Albany, cherished grandfather of Antonio Oswaldo Irizarry, II, loving son-in-law of David Weaver and Elaine Nichols, dearest brother-in-law of Crystal (Brian) Koreman, godfather of Trevor Carter, also survived by Michael Horton who was like a brother, his canine companion American Bulldog, Buddy and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held in August for relatives and friends in Jost Van Dyke, his favorite place where he loved to travel to and where he will once again be reunited with his father at his final resting place. There are no public calling hours or services. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to their family and friends for their loving comfort, care and support during this difficult time.
