Obituary of June Marilyn Bunker
June Marilyn Bunker, 86, of Coburg Village in Rexford, NY passed away on Friday March 17, 2017. She was born on March 13, 1931 in New York City and was the daughter of the late William M. Purcell and Margaret J. Mackie-Purcell. She was a graduate of John Adams High School and City College of New York. June was the beloved wife of William H. Bunker, who she married on August 21, 1954. William and June celebrated 62 years of marriage in 2016. She resided in Queens all of her life until moving to Rexford in Dec. of 2015. June enjoyed traveling abroad to Europe and her ancestral country of Scotland, and made many trips to her favorite place-Disney World. June was a fan of Harry Potter and enjoyed riding the Hogwarts Train on her recent vacation to Universal Studios "Wizarding World of Harry Potter".
In addition to her husband Bill, June is the devoted mother of June Dawn Thorpe (Darrin) of Loudonville and the late Craig W. Bunker; cherished grandmother of Samantha Boras of Albany and Spencer Boras of Loudonville; step grandmother of Jacob and Kyle Thorpe both of Loudonville.
A memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Coburg Village on Saturday March 25, 2017 at 10:00am.
