Obituary of John G. Till

John G. “Jack” Till, 91, of Santa Fe, NM and formerly of Boca Raton, FL, passed away on November 30, 2024.

Born in Orange, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Gilbert John and Dorothy Mae Rosenthal Till. He was a graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School in Point Pleasant, NJ. 

Mr. Till received his Honorable Discharge, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal for his service in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.

Mr. Till had been a stockbroker and joined Bache & Co. He moved to Shearson Hammil, which eventually grew into Shearson American Express, and finally Smith Barney Shearson.  He then became a Financial Services Executive most recently with Thornburg Investments in Santa Fe, NM.

Jack loved to deep sea fish, being a handyman, going to vintage car shows and had a dry sense of humor. 

He  had been the husband to Phyllis R. (Dennis) Till, who passed away on December 14, 2024 and the beloved father of the late Laura Ann Till, who passed away on September 25, 2023.

Survivors include sister-in-law Judith (Dennis) Mangrum (Oren) of Charleston, SC; nieces Lorena (Mangrum) DelGrosso (Dominick) of McClellanville, SC; Katherine (Mangrum) Seagroves of Charleston, SC; and Kara (Dennis) Horton of Ravanel, SC; nephews Eugene Mangrum (Kimberly) of Pittsburgh, PA; Daniel Dennis (Nicole) of Arizona and John Dennis (Jenine) of Tennessee. 

Private funeral services will be held in the Jonesville Cemetery, Jonesville (Town of Clifton Park), NY.
