Obituary of Melissa Jayne Nasner

Melissa Jayne Nasner, age 38, of Bethlehem, New York, passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2025.

Born on January 11, 1987, in Albany, New York, Melissa was raised by her loving parents Francis and Eleanor “Muffy” Nasner.  Melissa was a bright and deeply caring individual.  She loved reading, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family in the Adirondacks. 

Melissa is survived by her father, Francis Nasner, step-mother Lisa Nasner, her sisters Amanda Shapiro and Kelly Nasner, her aunt Margaret Holbritter, and her cousins Alexandra Buckley and Katharine Moser. As an adult, Melissa connected with and became close to members of her biological family including Patricia Vrablic, JoEllen Vaughn, George Whitcomb, Brandon Rabyor, Joy Vaughn, and Aderyn Vaughn.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, a private memorial will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association or the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.

Though her time with us was far too short, we will always cherish the memories we have of Melissa.
