Obituary of Barbara L. Wright

Barbara L. Martin Wright, 88, of Clifton Park, peacefully entered into eternal life on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Born and educated in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward Martin and Anna May Rourke Martin Day. She was the beloved wife for 58 years to Howard R. Wright who passed away on June 20, 2025.

Barbara enjoyed traveling throughout Europe with Howard and spending winters in Spain.  She loved baking and was famous for her cranberry bread, blueberry cheesecake and stolen.

Devoted mother of Colleen (Rick) Umholtz and the late Robert (Pam) Wright, cherished grandmother of Scott M. (Adrienne) Salvagni, Jr., step-grandmother of Rick and Kaitlyn Umholtz and adored great-grandmother of Scott M. Salvagni III and Morgan Salvagni. Barbara is also survived by grandchildren Darcie Holifield, Matthew (Cara), Jessica (Graham) and Jennifer Wright and Duncan (Spencer) Cole.

Private funeral services for the family will be held at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home in Clifton Park as well as the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
