Obituary of Brian Flexer

Brian Flexer, 67 of Troy, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born and educated in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Harry and Elaine Healy Flexer and the beloved companion of the late Kathy Maynard.

Brian was an animal lover, collector of movies and keepsakes, was a clean freak and held his strong Christian faith close to himself.

Devoted father of Shaun, Joshua (Michael), Jenna, Jeremy, Jessica, Spencer, Sabrina and Casey, and the late Alaina and the late Jacob Michael Flexer, brother of the late Robert and Michael Flexer, stepbrother of Cynthia Flexer,  cherished grandfather of Jadyn Flexer, and Audrina, Arianna and Jameson Mysliwiec.    

In keeping with Brian’s wishes, his funeral will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Community Hospice.

Donations can be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204, in memory of Brian Flexer.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the funeral home to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue, Troy, NY 12182.

Flower deliveries will be accepted at the fuernal home until 4 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025 and if deliveries prior to that would be fine.
