Obituary of Kathryn Ann Marcello

Kathryn Ann Marcello (Luisi), a devoted mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the age of 82.

She was born on April 29, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to Michael and Angelina Luisi.  She will be remembered for her love of children (many called her, “Grandma Kathy”).  She was happiest when taking the kids to the movies, out to eat, or on any little adventure that made them smile.  She treasured each child and held them in her heart as though they were her own.  Later in life, she delighted in teaching Sunday school, and she went back to college to pursue a degree in labor relations.  She was always driven by her desire to provide more and do better for her children and grandchildren.

Kathryn is survived by her children, Denise (Ethan) Manning, Robert (Emy) Marcello II, her beloved grandchildren, Darby Shae Marcello, Kurt Rhain A. Purano, and although they did not meet here on earth, born the next morning (November 14^th), bringing new life into the family,  Folsom Cash Marcello.  She also leaves behind her brother James (Susan) Luisi, and his two sons, Michael and Joseph Luisi, her sister, Ann Luisi, her aunt Esther McCollough Luisi and other extended family, friends and loved ones.

A Memorial Service will be held for family and friends on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:00 am at Redemption Hill Baptist Church, 12 Launfal Street, Albany, New York.
