Obituary of Jean M. Stellone

Jean M. Marin Stellone, 78, of Clifton Park, beloved wife for over 41 years to the late Anthony J. “Tony” Stellone, Jr., peacefully entered into eternal life at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

Born and educated in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Modesta Vega Marin. Jean earned her Associates Degree from CUNY.

Mrs. Stellone had been employed by the NYS Dept. of Taxation & Finance in the World Trade Center. After moving to Clifton Park, she was employed for over 30 years at J&S Watkins Desserts in Halfmoon where she held various positions including being a baker.

Beloved mother of Melissa (Jamison) Avallon of Saratoga Springs and Chelle (Richard) Winne of Rotterdam, sister of Josefina Marin, cherished “Grandma” of Aurora and Eli Winne, and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Jean was a devout Catholic and active communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park.

Jean was beloved for her gentility and her gift of putting people at ease. Her smile lit up rooms, and her laugh brought comfort and joy to others.  She had a passion for cooking and baking that left her loved ones happily fed and assured of her love. Her devotion to her family was limitless - making them feel cherished was her greatest joy. She was selfless and strong - her family leaned upon that strength. That care came without strings attached. It was simply her nature.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for Jean’s Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd., Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Shriners Children’s New England, Office of Philanthropy, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104, in memory of Jean M. Stellone.
