Obituary of Douglas A. Fountain, Jr.

Douglas A. Fountain, Jr. “Goober”, 49, passed on December 19, 2025 at his home in Averill Park NY, after fighting a series of illnesses.

Born in Albany, NY on February 21, 1976 to the Jean Lee Fountain and the late Douglas A. Fountain, Sr.

Doug was raised in North Albany where he attended Livingston School until he started his first career as a Tire Changer. He had many careers that he enjoyed but his favorite was his Painting career at Village One. He ended up finding a passion for his current job at Imperial Pools where he spent more time there then he did at home, they became his family.

In Doug's spare time he enjoyed playing cards, cooking on the grill, watching horror movies and going to the beach, but he really enjoyed just relaxing in his recliner at home.

He is Survived by his wife Kentris Fountain, 9 children Douglas A. Fountain, III, Andrew Fountain, Shanalee Martinez, Nathan Fountain, Evalena Fountain, Jaxon Fountain, Lydia Fountain , Ashton Fountain and Ethan Fountain, one step-son Jonathan Carbonneau, one  grandbaby and he is also survived by his 5 sisters and several nieces and nephews 

Relatives and freinds are invirted to gather with Douglas's family for his Funeral Service at Trinity Church of Watervliet, 1336 1st Avenue, Watervliet, NY 12198 on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue, Troy, NY 12182
