Obituary of Robert E. Reinhart

Robert E. “Bob” Reinhart, Sr., 84, of Malta, beloved husband for 56 years to Jo-Anne Sumner Reinhart, peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.

 

Born in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Ernest and Lois Geer Reinhart and was a graduate of LaSalle Institute in Troy.

 

Mr. Reinhart retired after 37 ½ years of dedicated service with the New York State Department of Labor in Albany where he was a Computer Programmer.

 

Bob very much enjoyed being a Volunteer Fireman with the Jonesville Volunteer Fire Department as well as with the Round Lake Hose Company. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers.

 

Beloved husband to Jo-Anne, devoted father of Jennifer (fiancé, Tony Birkholz) Miller and Robert E. (Kim) Reinhart, Jr., cherished grandfather of Tyler Miller and Justin Miller, loving brother of Donald Reinhart, Jeff (Kim) Reinhart, Maryhelen (late, Jerry) Belknap and Debbie (late, Bill) Rosado, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065 on February 17, 2026 from 12:00p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

 

The Reinhart family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to the Ellis Hospital nurses, doctors and staff for their wonderful care and support.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jonesville Volunteer Fire Dept., 953 Main St., Clifton Park, NY 12065 or to the Round Lake Hose Company, PO Box 66, Round Lake, NY 12151, in memory of Robert E. “Bob” Reinhart, Sr.
