In the world of politics, there are show ponies and there are work horses. Bobby was well admired and much appreciated as one of the best of the latter category. I'll never forget our many nights on the streets of Woodlawn, with Bob hustling from door to door until the last glimpses of daylight, and then dropping him off so he could enjoy a cigar or a cold beverage in a lawn chair in his driveway. Every time I stop at a stop sign within a half mile of Paige School, I'll think of Bob, who pushed so hard for their installation. And who can forget election nights at the Hibernians with Bob, who had often been up most of the prior night for one last push. Our family extends its condolences to his entire beloved family. We hope that pleasant memories of Bob will be a comfort to you in this difficult time.

Bob and I went to Florida together.He was so excited.He had so much fun that smile never left his face. We would get app every morning and we would be the only ones at the pool at 9 30 10 o'clock.He would just lay in the Sun going to Pole laying the Sun.And then when I took him to the ocean , he was like a little kid. And then we met new friends from virginia. They even took him with them on a family trip to the air bolt rides in the swamps. He was such a happy guy loves the bears.Love smoking cigars with you bobby. You're a good friend Boom

I remember meeting Bobby for the very first time, back in 2003, the night I was added to the Committee. Likewise, I am so grateful that I wandered into Castle Cigars about a month ago and was able to spend time talking and laughing with him. We talked about life, fatherhood, and politics. Watching Bobby do his thing in Woodlawn, was truly a joy. He was a hard worker and he cared deeply about Schenectady. My hope is he's up there with my uncle, keeping someone in line, and having a great time doing it. He will be missed! My thoughts and prayers to his family!
