Obituary of Jean M. Ratigan

Please share a memory of Jean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jean M. Ratigan, 91, of Lansingburgh, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 3, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Whitehall, she was the daughter of the late James and Marie Vale Delsignore. She spent many years greeting neighbors, friends, and travelers as a dedicated worker at the 76 Diner, where her kindness became a comfort to so many. She later continued her lifelong commitment to caring for others as a dietary worker at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Jean was the sweetest soul you could ever meet-gentle, generous, and endlessly giving. She was the type of person that would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. She found joy in simple, meaningful things: knitting, crocheting, cooking, bingo, and the thrill of a good garage sale, even if she never stopped at one. But more then anything, she treasured time spent with family.

Jean is survived by her loving children Pamela Ratigan, David Ratigan, Laurie Ratigan, and Lloyd Ratigan Jr; her cherished grandchildren Dacia, Alexander, Joshua, Devon, Amber, Kayla, Trevor, Kory; and her dear brother Gino. She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Lloyd Ratigan Sr.; and her son Patrick Ratigan - a reunion she longed for with a full and peaceful heart.
