Obituary of Dianne M. Waters

Dianne M. Waters, 79, of Ballston Lake, beloved wife of Dr. Roger M. Waters of 55 years, peacefully entered eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at home. 

Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late James Lockhart Cranstoun and the late Elaine Dumas Cranstoun.  Dianne was educated at St. John’s Academy, Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and attended Indiana University to learn advanced cardiac care.

Dianne was a registered nurse.  She began her Nursing career in Plattsburgh, NY where she helped establish a cardiac intensive care unit at Champlain Valley Physician Hospital.  She was also a nurse for the Saratoga County Mental Health Clinic in Saratoga Hospital where she worked for over 20 years.

Beloved wife of Dr. Roger M. Waters, devoted mother of Carrie (Bruno) Batko of Rexford, and Joseph Waters of Ballston Lake.  Cherished grandmother of Noah and Emma Batko, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16 2026 from 11:30am-1:00pm at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065. 

Interment with a Nightingale Tribute by The Capital Region Nurses Honor Guard and a Committal Service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road Schuylerville, NY 12871

Dianne’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Tasha, Patricia and Maylin for their wonderful care of Dianne during her illness and the great comfort they brought to Dianne’s family.
