Obituary of Shaeona Marie Rose Overton

Shaeona Marie Rose “Shae” Overton, 23, beloved daughter of Justine M. Borter and Sharif L. Overton, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Born in Troy, Shae was educated in the Lansingburgh Public Schools.

Shae’s hobbies, interests, included Cheerleading and Troy pageants.  She enjoyed Diamond art and most of all loved to eat.

She is the devoted mother of Nazazia Eden Rose “Nazzie” Overton, sister to Sharif L. Overton, Ezekial L. Overton and Kahmi Chapman, granddaughter of Michele Hotaling (MEME), also survived by several aunts,  uncles and cousins,

Relatives and friend are invited to visitation on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc, 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.
