Obituary of Karen A. LaBello

Karen A. Mysliwiec LaBello, 74, of Lansingburgh, beloved wife of the late Frank. P. LaBello, Sr., peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

Born in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Winifred Tague Mysliwiec and was educated in the Lansingburgh schools finishing her education at Lansingburgh High School.

Mrs. LaBello retired from Freihofer’s Baking Co. in Albany.

She was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

Karen enjoyed bowling, Yahtzee, poker, family game night and especially loved family time.

She had been a member of the Hilltop Bowling League.

Beloved mother of Frank P. LaBello, Jr., Tammy Rosario, Penny McCarthy and Chad (Corey)LaBello, cherished grandmother of April LaBello, John “Mickey” Rosario, Vanessa LaBello, Kourtney Garmley, Jesse Rosario, Chad LaBello, Jr., Laura LaBello, Anthony LaBello, Ayden McCarthy, Austin McCarthy, Mariah Rosario and the late Karissa Garmley, adored great grandmother of Logan, Lucas, Lana, Jalen, Emilio and Bailee, loving sister of William “Butch” Mysliwiec Jr., Joan (late, Bob) Patrick, Darlene (late, Dennis) Haughney, late, Frank (Lou and the late Joan Mysliwiec), late Winifred “Winnie” (late, Joseph) Domey, late, Sherry (Lou) Nailor, late, Jim Mysliwiec (Janice), late Jean (late, Larry) Mahoney and the late John Michael “Mickey” Mysliwiec, also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.

Burial will be held in St. John’s Cemetery, Lansingburgh on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.

Karen’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to everyone for their prayers and condolences.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the ASPCA, in memory of Karen A. LaBello.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted by Karen’s family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.
