Obituary of Raymond E. Hera
Raymond E. “Ray” Hera, 72, of Clifton Park, beloved husband for 31 years to Wendy L. Roberts Hera, peacefully entered into eternal life at home surrounded by his loving wife and daughter on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Mary Vroblefski Hera and was a graduate of Somerville High School, Kutztown University and Drew University.
Ray had been a Sales Associate with Zappone Automotive Group in Clifton Park as well as with their dealership at Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Saratoga Springs. He had also been employed in Computer sales at several firms around the Capital District
In his early 20’s, Ray was a drummer with a local band which he was very proud of and was possibly the biggest Led Zepplin fan in the world. He was an amazing artist which most people would never have know, especially pencil drawings, many of which he did and adorn his grandson Caleb’s nursery. He was also an avid photographer.
For over 30 years, Ray was a very active member of the Clifton Park Elks Lodge #2466 and a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Ushers.
Beloved husband to Wendy, devoted father of Rhianna (Tim) Rodriguez, cherished grandfather of Caleb Rodriguez, dear brother of Robert (Joan) Hera, loving brother-in-law of Len (Paula) Roberts, cherished uncle to Chris and Tim Roberts and Matthew and Patrick Hera, also survived by several cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 US-9 Round Lake, NY 12151 as well as to the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated that evening in Church at 6:00 p.m.
Interment will be held the following morning at 10:00 a.m. in Jonesville Cemetery.
