Obituary of Alvin Deese

Alvin Deese, 61, of First Street, beloved and loving companion of 32 years of Carolyn Canty of Troy, peacefully entered into eternal life on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, Alvin is the son of the Bessie James Deese of Alabama and the late Allen Deese, Sr. Alvin has been a dedicated member of the Teamster's Local, employed as a warehouseman for the past 42 years at SYSCO Foods in Halfmoon. Beloved companion of Carolyn Canty, devoted father and step-father of Marlon Lee, Rufus (Lisa) Canty, Ezra Canty, Sapphire Canty and Abednego "Ben" Canty, brother of Brenda Brewster, Mattie Scott and Bessie Felder, also survived by several nieces and nephews, 9 cherished grandchildren and was anxiously anticipating the birth of his first great granddaughter this February. Alvin's was enjoyed fishing immensely and was looking forward to the thrill of hang gliding someday. Funeral will be held private at the convenience of the family. There are no public calling hours. Private burial will be held in Memory's Garden Cemetery, Colonie. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the charity of their own choice, in memory of Alvin Deese. John J.
