Lawrence J. Ruggles, 64, of Janes Avenue died at home on Sunday Oct. 30, 2016 with his beloved wife by his side. Larry was born in Troy on April 21, 1952, the son of the late Lawrence J. and Margaret Lynch Ruggles. He was the owner of Pat’s Heating and Air Conditioning in Clifton Park for over 30 years. He married Patricia M. Lanahan on May 14, 1977. He was a lifelong area resident who enjoyed spending his time with his family.
Larry is the beloved husband of Hon. Patricia M. Lanahan Ruggles, Malta Town Clerk; devoted father of Jason (Nicole Schuman fiance’) Ruggles of NYC, Lawrence Ruggles of Round Lake, NY and Jeanne (Benny Reynolds) Ruggles of Odessa, NY; brother of Nancy Bell of Round Lake, NY, William (Diane) Ruggles of Middletown, NY, Thomas (Jackie) Ruggles of Ballston Spa and Robert (Sue) Ruggles of Baltimore, MD; cherished grandfather of Cassidy Moat and Jessa Reynolds; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 4-8 pm Thursday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 in Clifton Park. Funeral services will be private.
