Obituary of Edward R. Johnson

Edward R. Johnson, 82, of Manchester Drive passed away suddenly at his home on Feb. 15, 2024.  He was born on August 26, 1941 in Stratford, NY and was the son of the late Edward and Edith Johnson.  Ed was a graduate of Stratford High School and Plattsburgh State where he received his bachelor’s degree in teaching.  He had been a principle for the Lansingburgh School district for many years and retired as the Special Education Administrator there after many years of service. Ed was a very active volunteer and communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Crescent.

 

He was the beloved husband of Mary Grace Mickle Johnson whom he married on May 27, 1977; devoted father of Tony Miorin of Clifton Park, NY and Peter Miorin (Ronni) of Cohoes, NY.  He was predeceased by an infant brother and is survived by his 5 grandchildren.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024 at St. Mary’s Church Crescent, 86 Church Hill Road Waterford, NY 12188.  A calling hour will precede the mass in the church from 10-11 am.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church in Crescent.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.
