Obituary of Desmond E. O'Bomsawin

Desmond E. O’Bomsawin, 80, of the Town of Schaghticoke, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Born and educated in Odanak, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Louis and Maude Desmond O’Bomsawin and beloved husband of Joan P. Erno O’Bomsawin who he married on July 27, 1963 with whom he spent nearly 57 years of marriage with and raising their family. Mr. O’Bomsawin retired from the Bendix Corporation in Green Island. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Beloved husband of Joan, devoted father of Shawn O’Bomsawin and Trisha O’Bomsawin, father-in-law to Jill O’Bomsawin, cherished grandfather of Dakota, Ava and Harper O’Bomsawin, brother of Jules and the late Paul, Charles, Andre “Andy” and Claire, also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the care of the White-Sanvidge Funeral Home, 58 Leversee Rd, (Rt-40 in Speigletown) Troy, NY 12182.
