Marissa Peabody

Obituary of Marissa A. Peabody

Marissa A. Peabody, 23, peacefully entered into eternal life Tuesday, May 12, 2020. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of Angela Donahue (Shawn) Krill and Michael Peabody. She was educated at St. Augustine’s School, Catholic Central (Junior and Senior) High School before transferring to and graduating from Lansingburgh High School. Marissa loved to live life and thoroughly enjoyed her music and shopping. Marissa was a gifted cheerleader, beginning cheer with the Troy Patriots and at both Catholic Central High School (CCHS) and Lansingburgh High School. She had the talent to become a professional cheerleader if she had chosen to. Marissa was the beloved mother of Milly and the late Adelina, cherished daughter of Angela and Shawn, adored granddaughter of Bernadette Farron Donahue (late, Michael T. “Iron Mike” Donahue), loving sister of Christopher Peabody and Bianca Krill, loving niece of Michaeleen Donahue and admired cousin of Morgan Campbell and dear friend of William Drew. Marissa is also survived by so many friends who all loved and will miss her so much. In keeping with the government restrictions in place for social gatherings, the family will have a private wake and funeral service offered to their invited relatives and friends via Zoom at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue Troy, NY 12182 where The Rite of Christian Burial will be offered by Deacon Charles Wojton, St. Anthony of Padua Shrine Church in Troy. Marissa’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who has called, texted or stopped by to offer their condolences, love, support and brought food. A special thanks to Jenni Schongar, Angela’s best friend who took 5 year old Bianca for the weekend so that she didn’t have to be exposed to the grief that we are suffering in our home as we mourn our beloved Marissa. With Marissa’s love of animals, it is asked that memorial contributions in her name be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
