Obituary of Thomas J. Goodwin, Jr.

Thomas J. "TJ" Goodwin, Jr., 27, of Boulder Path died on Sunday Oct. 18, 2020 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital after injuries sustained in a traffic accident. He was born on June 27, 1993 in Troy, NY and was the beloved son of Kimberly (David Spina) Goodwin of Glenville, NY and Thomas J. (Jami Carter) Goodwin of Halfmoon, NY; devoted brother of Meaghan P. (Jonathan) Durst of N. Colonie, NY; proud uncle of Kinley Durst; survived by his love and girlfriend, Amanda Rice of Ballston Spa, NY; his grandmother Madeline Goodwin (the late Robert) of Rexford, NY; grandparents S. Richard and Barbara Thomas of Scottsdale, AZ and several aunts and uncles and cousins. TJ was recently assigned as a Deputy Sheriff for the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office and previously had been a corrections officer. He was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School, class of 2011 and a graduate of SUNY, Oswego Public Justice, class of 2015. He loved to watch and play hockey, was a standout ice hockey player in high school and college and enjoyed range shooting. He was also a proud Harley Davidson rider and enjoyed his membership with the Renegade Pigs Motor Cycle Club, Saratoga Charter. His presence will be missed by all who knew him. Calling hours will be from 2-6 pm Friday October 23rd at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park, 569 Clifton Park Center Road Clifton Park, NY 12065.
