Obituary of Kristie Lynn Francis

Kristie Lynn Francis, 33, of Malta, New York passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 after a brief illness. Kristie was born on September 17, 1987 in Seoul, Korea. She was the daughter of Teresa (Leddy) Francis and the late Frederick Francis. Kristie was a graduate of Niskayuna High School Class of 2005 and Clarkson University Class of 2009. She worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in Rensselaer, New York as an Associate Project Manager, a job that she loved and excelled at.

Kristie was completely devoted to her family. In addition to her mother, Kristie is survived by her fiancé and the love of her life, Nathan Hall of Malta, New York; her brother Shawn (Tracey) Francis of Burlington, North Carolina; her sister and best friend, Kimberly Francis of Clifton Park, New York; and her future cousin, Spencer Junco of Troy, New York; as well as countless other friends, family and loved ones whose lives she touched.

Kristie was beautiful, inside and out. She was a ray of light that shined on anyone fortunate enough to meet her. Kristie loved and cherished spending time with her friends and family. Whether it was cooking and hosting themed parties for those she loved or going out to brunch with her girlfriends, her friends and family were her world and she made that world a truly special and beautiful place to live.

Kristie’s talents and interests were unlimited. She loved animals of all shapes and sizes. She was capable of making friends effortlessly and made her house into a home for all to enjoy. She could dress up immaculately when the occasion called for it, all the while dreaming about pajamas and a robe. She made people feel loved and was a role model and inspiration for all around her. She will be sorely missed.

Relatives ann freinds are invited to Calling Hours on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, New York 12065 and to her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning, July 17, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church (Crescent), 86 Church Hill Rd., Waterford, NY 12188. 

Current CDC Guidelines will be followed at the funeral home.

All are required to wear a facial covering at the Church which may change as we get nearer to the Mass on July 17th. Please check back for any updates as the date for the Mass approaches.
