Obituary of Jean Marie Curtis
Jean Marie Curtis, 81, of Troy, beloved wife of the late Langdon Curtis, peacefully entered into eternal life on Thursday, December 31, 2020.
Born and educated in Oswego, New York, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Sara Waller Pennoyer.
Jean was employed at CEO Child Care in Troy as a Child Care provider.
She was an avid and accomplished bowler, with an average in the high 200’s, and avid professional figure skater and instructor in New York City and ran a farm in Hillsdale with her husband Langdon, L & J Farm until 2002 when they moved to Lewis. The farm had horses, cows, pigs, goats and a variety of birds. She was also a member of the Eagles Aerie in Lansingburgh.
Her surviving children are George Mahieu, William (Phyllis) Walsh, Virginia “Ginger” (Chris) Kehn, the late Steven Mahieu and Kenneth Walsh, sister of Steven (Bonnie) Pennoyer, Carl Williams, Beverly Westgaard, Betty Beauchaine and the late Sharon Rodriquez, cherished grandmother of George "JR"(Jessica) Mahieu, Sara and Emily Kehn and Michael and Lauren Walsh, adored great grandmother of Michael, Madalynn, Adalynn and Gracelynn, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Private services were held with burial in Hillsdale Rural Cemetery in Hillsdale, New York next to her husband Langdon.
