I don't ever remember seeing Mitch without a smile. My father Gus worked with Mitch at Crucible Steel for many years. My father had Great respect for him Personally and Professionally. I remember that he was always so personable and would light up a room with his smile and positivity. Rest in Peace Mitch and say hello to Gus when you get up there.

Dear Maureen and Peg, Although I knew Mitch only through you and had the good fortune to be in his presence only a couple of times, I want to extend my sincere condolences to his entire family. I am aware of the sacrifices he made willingly to help the family and do what he could to bring comfort especially at times of need. May happy memories soon replace sad ones! You will all remain in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. Mary Sue and Ed

I saw Mitch’s obituary in the paper today, and was stunned. Though I hadn’t seen him in a long time, he looms large in my memory and will always have a special place in my heart. My condolences go out to his family. They should know that there are many people in the world whose lives were touched by Mitch along the way and who are reminiscing about him and his life—many like myself who have lots of fond memories about him from high school at the Mount and through sports.

I attended Mount Assumption the same time Mitch did, he was several yrs before me, he always had a smile.
We played football together, we always teased each other, he played Quarterback and I was a linemen, so it was my job to protect him, so I always kidded him that if he wasn’t nice to me i’de let the big guys in to knock him down. I lived in Syracuse for many yrs, I knew Mitch lived in Tully and always wanted to get in touch with him, never took the time, regret it now. He is a great guy and condolences to Mitches family.

We knew Mitch as fellow parents in Tully and fellow parishioners at St. Pats in Otisco. We always had so much to talk about and enjoyed coffee, donuts and conversation after Mass. Going to where The Bags were playing was a frequent weekend outing. We made a feeble attempt at leading our sons and other boys through the first level of Cub Scouts but happily gave up on that endeavor ! Joe and our oldest son were good friends and our sympathies go out to the entire Pajonas family. Mitch was a fair, honest and kind hearted man and we will remember him fondly.
May perpetual light shine upon him.

So sad to hear this news of my friend
Memories are as long as the ball we would claim to hit during our Monday night duffers league and sincere as working security at the concerts at the dome for Kenny Stack ,as joyous as the
Stories and conversations we would have about our kids and grandkids, as fun as playing horseshoes and eating chicken wings under the moonlight on Woodmancy with Mitch hitting ringer after ringer in the dark, and as sweet as playing songs in the choir loft at St.Pats or At a gig with the Bags or in the gazebo at Estes pond Blackbird and The Weight and I Shall be released. Well you are released my friend and will never be forgotten. Peace to you and your family

Mitch was a giant part of our NewYork lives. Weekly at church, “in concert” with The Bags, his infectious smile, his crazy laugh, and his selfless friendship made our years together pure joy. Larry had the great fortune to speak with him a few months ago, and to email Mitch directly to say how much he meant to us. Your whole family will always be in our hearts.
