Obituary of Karl David Horton
Karl David Horton, 38, of Glenville passed on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Ellis Hospital. Karl was born locally to Terry and Ruth Pitman Horton and raised in the Town of Brunswick, attending Lansingburgh Schools, and finishing in the class of 2000.
Karl was an avid outdoor enthusiast, and a jack of all trades. One of his interests was keeping a variety of fish, and cross breeding them. But, his favorite pet was his dog, Whitey Ford!
He was proud of his new business venture which he began with his friend, T.J.
Karl had a winning smile, and made friends wherever he went. His warmth and humor will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Arilyn; a brother, Keith of Brunswick; two sisters, Kara Shimer of Schaghticoke, and Kasie Horton of Brunswick; and was an uncle to Mackenzie Morine, Kyly and Jace-Tyler Horton, and Joshua Kohl. He was predeceased by a brother, Kyle Horton.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday evening, January 31st, at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc. 565 Fourth Avenue, Troy, NY 12182, with the Rev. Tyrone Lynch, Pastor of Pleasantdale Community Church, officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home beginning at 4:00 PM.
The interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
COVID-19 Regulations will be followed, requiring every attendee to please mask at the entry to the funeral home, use the hand sanitizer provided, and maintain safe personal distancing, as directed.
