Obituary of Joan M. Teal

Joan M. Teal, 85, formerly of Cotton Court in Clifton Park died on Wednesday Feb. 3, 2021at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness.  She was born on Dec. 27, 1935 in Mechanicville, NY and was the daughter of the late John Harold and Emily Walsh Mooney.  Joan was a graduate of Waterford High School and the NY State Teachers College (now SUNY Albany).  She had been a teacher for various school districts and a bookkeeper for several companies.  Joan enjoyed square dancing, playing Bridge and Pinochle, traveling, and spending cherished time with family and friends. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald L. Teal, whom she married on July 1, 1960.

She was the beloved mother of Lawrence "Larry" ( Jean Paduano-Teal) of Clifton Park, NY and Theresa (Scott) McIntyre of Liverpool, NY; sister-in- law of P. Ernest (Joan) Teal of Averill Park, NY and Audrey (Joseph) Trupia of Maryland; cherished grandmother of Mary and Rachael McIntyre; also survived by a nephew and two nieces.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 noon Monday at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065.

A calling hour will precede the mass from 11:00 am - 12 noon in the Church.

Entombment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie, NY.
