Obituary of Rose A. Roberts
Rose A. Roberts, 89 of The Home of the Good Shepherd and former Clifton Park resident, died on Thursday March 11, 2021 at Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness. She was born on Nov. 16, 1931 in Geneva, NY and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Violet Leombruno Marciano. Rose had worked for the Glens Falls Insurance Co. for many years and earlier had worked for the Central Markets.
She married and had three children. During that time she developed Rheumatoid Arthritis. No matter how bad her condition got she was always happy. She persevered. She had a great love for the piano, playing cards with her aunt, watching soap operas and Animal planet. She loved her pets too. She was also a cross word enthusiast. She was a fantastic cook and made the best pot of sauce and meatballs! Home life meant the world to her. She loved her kids more than anything and she adored her grandkids and great grandchild. Spending time with them was the happiest of all. She had been a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park.
She is the beloved wife of the late Gordon E. Roberts, whom she married on June 24, 1962. She is the devoted mother Stephen R Roberts (Vicky Brown) of Burnt Hills, NY, Leslie A Marciano and Michael J. Roberts both of Mechanicville, NY; sister of the late Anthony Marciano, Rita Shea and Louise Short; cherished grandmother of Tyler Schecter, Austin Schecter, Joshua Schecter and Adam and Olivia Roberts; great grandmother of Bentley; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours will be from 5-8 pm Monday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, N Y 12065.
Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY.
