Obituary of Frances L. DeNovio
Frances L. "Francie" DeNovio, 69, of Grooms Road died on Friday April 16, 2021 at Albany Medical Center Hospital in the loving care of her family. She was born on August 26, 1951 in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Marcel and Gail Williams Daignault. Francie was a graduate of CCHS in Troy and SUNY Oneonta . She received her bachelors and masters degrees in elementary teaching. She was teacher for Waterford Central Catholic School before raising her family. She loved to travel across the US and was a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park. Most important to Francie was the time spent with her family and her lifelong friends. After raising her children, Francie was proud of the fact she could transition back to the force, along with her husband running their H&R Block office in Bennington, VT for many years.
She is the beloved wife of Gary M. DeNovio, whom she married on June 27, 1975. She is the devoted mother of Maria Lynne (Charles Ligon) DeNovio of Troy and Carl Joseph (Erin) DeNovio of Loudonville; sister of Marc Daignault of Edinburgh, NY and Dana Kielty of Waterford, NY; cherished grandmother “NoNo” of Rosalie Willow DeNovio and Payton Elizabeth Dickinson; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road Clifton Park, NY 12065 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours will be from 4-7 pm Tuesday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to ALS , Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Regional Center, 19 Warehouse Row Albany, NY 12205 or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital Tribute Program, PO Box1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 in her memory.
