Obituary of Philip J. Telesky

Philip J. Telesky, 76 of Lansingburgh, peacefully entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 30, 2021.

 

Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Philip and Irene M. Derocher Telesky and was educated at St. Joseph’s School in South Troy and Troy High School where he graduated from.

He went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Navy.

 

Phil was a painter.

 

He loved his girls and the company of Stacy Anson, Donna McElvoy and Liz Ohler, who he always referred to as his very own, “Phil's Angels”. He also enjoyed the company of his longtime friend Mike Ciccarelli and his drinking buddy Henry Morlock, Jr.

 

He was predeceased by his parents as well as his sister Lorraine M. “Laurie” (late Joseph) Cordi

 

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12 Noon at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc. 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner off 115th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, New York 12182.

 

Interment with full military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.

 

Philip wanted everyone to know how grateful he was for the support from the VA for providing him with beautiful housing at the Spec. 4 Peter M. Guenette Veteran’s Housing in Lansingburgh and for assisting him with his daily needs.

 

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Veterans of Lansingburgh, 777 First Ave, Troy, NY 12182, in memory of Philip J. Telesky.
