Obituary of Barbara C. Baker
Barbara C. Baker, 90, of Lake Avenue, died on Thursday June 10, 2021 at her home in the loving care of her family. Barbara was born on July 14, 1930 in Troy, NY and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth Crawford Chrestensen. She was a graduate of Troy High School and the Mildred Elley Business School. Barbara retired as a Library Assistant in the Shenendehowa Central School District after 36 years. She was a faithful and active member for more than 60 years at the Round Lake United Methodist Church. She was a member of their choir, served as secretary and attended Bible Study. Barbara loved to travel, visited Italy, France, Spain, Israel and even went helicopter riding in Alaska.
She is the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Baker with whom she shared 41 years of marriage until his passing on Nov. 9, 1991. She is the devoted mother of Catherine M (John Benson, Jr.) Baker, Garry E. Baker, (Diane), Phyllis B. (Jeffrey) Wildberger, Terrell J. (David) Weissman and Christine R. (Shane) Wildberger; cherished grandmother of Darcy Benson, Garry Baker, II, Steven Baker, Matthew Baker, Beth Wildberger, Jill Wildberger, Brina Elikan, Ethan Weissman, Sr. Airman Erich Wildberger, Dakota Wildberger and the late Jason Baker; also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Round Lake United Methodist Church, 34 George Ave. Round Lake, NY 12151.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:30 – 11:00 am prior the funeral service in the church.

Interment will be in East Line Cemetery, Round Lake New York.
