To Ellen's family: I am very sorry for your loss.
Ellen was very welcoming to my mother, Arlene Ehlinger for the 1 1/2 years she lived at EVG, until her passing in Dec 2018. Whether it was chatting at the DR table or in the screened in porch, or attending mass or another event at the community center. I really appreciated Ellen's sense of humor and her stories. One day early on when I was visiting, the volunteer who called bingo didn't show up. The ladies were so disappointed. I offered to do it and Ellen piped right up that she could instruct me. After that, I became a regular bingo caller and it was usually a contest between Ellen and Arlene as to who would win the most games. Ellen always offered to play someone else's cards if they were unable to attend, in addition to her own, and didn't get too, too upset if the other person won more games than she did. Using her bookkeeping skills, Ellen always tracked her winnings in a little notebook. Ellen was a great friend to Wally, Jean, Helen, and mom. I was happy to get to know Ellen and I'm sure you have great memories of her. My condolences.

Ellen was always helpful to my mom who say next to her for meals and she made sure she ate her vegetables and would report to me if mom didn't.
She loved Bingo so much, kept score and when my mom would miss a number Ellen would let her know.
REST IN PEACE
