Obituary of Kelly Grady- Burke
Kelly A. Burke, 60, of Lansingburgh, beloved wife of Anthony J. “Tony” Burke of Lansingburgh, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family members on Monday, July 12, 2021.
Born in Troy, Kelly was the daughter of the late James J. and Anne Marie Hammond Grady and was educated at CCHS before graduating from Troy High School and HVCC.
Kelly retired in 2019 from the Troy Housing Authority where she was an Asset Manager and had previously held a variety of positions in public service throughout the community for many years.
Kelly was a terrific wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was one of the most patriotic, loyal and generous persons that you could ever know. She called it as she saw it, but her loyalty was unwavering. She was a true American and loved giving back to her community, having volunteered assisting those less fortunate through Sidewalk Warriors in Troy, serving on the Women’s Auxiliary of the All-Troy Athletic Club, her membership with the Penguin Club and at the Troy Motor Boat and Canoe Club. She will be remembered as the best baker and cook ever; for her friendship and kindness rocks that she painted and provided to brighten up other’s lives. Kelly was also a summer resident at her camp at Deer Run in Schaghticoke, which she loved and was her home away from home. She loved social media, Facebook was her favorite.
Beloved wife of Tony, devoted mother of Nicholas P. Moscatiello and Taylor C. (Kevin Pontore) Moscatiello, dear sister of Colleen (Russ) McAllister, Kathleen and the late Linda Grady, cherished “Grammy” of Jakob, Brody and Ethan Ratigan. Kelly is also survived by her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives from the Grady, Burke, Coyne and Eaton families, her “Grandpups”, Teddy, Taco and Beanie, her feline friends Sully and Stuff, as well as so many of her friends who are too numerous to list here.
Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021 and to her Funeral Service with Reflections that evening at 8:00 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (corner of 115th St. in Lansingburgh), Troy, New York 12182.
