My Brother in Law Peter was a heroic man having served
in the US Army and US Navy as well as having a great career as a NY State Trooper. His career included serving on the security team of former NY Governor Mario Cuomo.
Peter was a great husband and step father to my nieces. He was always glad to spend time with us and he was upbeat and talkative the last time we were with him. He triumphed over many physical health challenges and he was active and visiting the gym daily before becoming ill in July. Truly he was
“A man’s man” and he will be greatly missed. It was an honor and a privilege to be his Brother-in-Law and to be a part of his life. May he rest in the Benediction of Divine Eternal Light.

Trusted Friend, Coworker, Mentor, Trooper Cooper…I am thankful to Peter for many things in the short time we worked together and the three decades of friendship that followed. Most of all, I’m grateful for what I learned from him about enjoyment of life, food, friends & laughter. Pete may be gone, but his iron will and hearty laugh live on as inspirational and treasured memories.

Peter served his Country in the Military and as a New York State Trooper for 32 years, and he was a very good and loyal friend. We had some wonderful adventures together as teenagers when we both were learning to fly, and we reconnected many years later to thoroughly enjoy re-living those adventures. (The stories got better with the re-telling!)
Although Pete had some serious medical set-backs in his life, he never seemed to let them get him down, or to interrupt his regular visits to the gym.
May he rest in Peace. He will be missed . . . .

I'll add a picture of Peter (in the cockpit) and I, with my 'boss' - Waterman 'Brownie' Brown in 1954 at the old East Greenbush NY airport.
