Obituary of Judith E. DeConno

Judith E. “Judy” Garrity DeConno, 70, of Halfmoon, peacefully passed away surrounded by and in the loving comfort and care of her family on Saturday, August 28, 2021.

Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Gladys Gurley Garrity and was a graduate of Watervliet High School.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. DeConno loved trips to the casino, taking her chance on scratch-offs, but above all, immensely loved her family.

Beloved wife of 53 years of John DeConno, devoted mother of John J. (Elizabeth) DeConno, III and Jennifer Leigh (Jonathan) Schmidt, cherished grandmother of Jonathan and Juliana Schmidt, sister of Edward, Donald and Deborah Garrity, Edith Wickes and Dawn Crowley, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed.

Judy, you will always be my Dolly, Love you forever, John.

In keeping with her wishes, private funeral services were entrusted to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route Nine, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
