Obituary of Sharon A. Kelleher

Sharon A. Kelleher, 76, of Valley Falls, beloved wife for 53 years of Robert J. “Bob” Kelleher of Valley Falls, peacefully entered into eternal life on Sunday, September 26, 2021.

Born in Johnsonville, New York, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Edna (Bruns) Hunt and was a graduate of Hoosic Valley High School, Class of 1962.

Sharon “Sherry” retired in 2002 from the Small Business Administration in Phoenix, AZ and had previously been employed from their office in Albany, NY.

Sherry enjoyed casino trips with her sisters, cooking for her family and friends, and tending to her flowers and yard work. She always made time for ironing and lets not forget she loved a good glass of wine. Most importantly she enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren and that’s why she was called “GG” (Greatest Grandmother)!

Beloved wife of Bob, devoted mother of Kim (Dan) Giordano of Johnsonville, Krissy Kelleher (Greg White) of Valley Falls, and the late Tammy Lynn Kelleher, loving stepmother of David (Lois) Arakelian of Troy, dearest sister of Edward Hunt, Thomas (Mary) Hunt, both of Valley Falls, Joyce (George) Frisino of Melrose, Sandy (Don) Delurey of Valley Falls, the late Waldo Hunt (Helen) of Troy, cherished grandmother of Daniel and Gavin Giordano and Jacob and Emma White, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held at the White-Sanvidge Funeral Home, 58 Leversee Rd. (RT-40 in Speigletown) Troy, NY 12182 with private burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Schaghticoke.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to family, friends and Hospice for all their love and support through this very difficult time.
