I, along with so many in the community, will miss Coach Stefanacci as a great coach, role model and friend. He was an example of what a good person should be. As a player on the football team, I witnessed him coach and grow boys into young men using football as a vehicle. As his next door neighbor, he was a role model to me while growing up. He definitely had a positive influence on my life. Thanks, Coach!
Sincere condolences to the Stefanacci family. May you find peace.

I was sorry to here of the coaches passing. Coach Stefanacci was my 3rd grade gym coach. At that time I figured his age to be about twenty five or so. He taught wrestling and was very understanding when I knocked the wind out of a classmate. Coach gave us a demenstration of golf in high school, I was glad he said get the balls he knocked out a mile or so.
Always positive and I can't remember, in a time of cynicism, that a word of negativity came from his mouth. Always positive and straight forward, if there was ever a reason for confusion on something he said, then all you had to do was ask and in short order it got straightened out.
To the family, my sympathy, to all that were his friend likewise.

Coach Stefanacci was a great teacher, coach, community leader and a inspiring family man.
Gene led by example in every phase of his life.
His charity and good works were widespread.
He deeply cared about people. Not just those he served.
He mentored countless numbers of young people in the teaching and coaching profession.
I was privileged to be one of those grateful participants.
Coach Stefanacci was the thread that kept Shenendehowa Football program together.
His unique communication skills bridged personalities and pursuit.
Your life was blessed if Coach Stefanacci was a part of your journey.
May Coach and his family be at peace with the passing of a truly great human being.

Coach Stefanacci was my gym teacher from K-6 at Okte and our families both went to Shen Methodist, and Betty was my preschool teacher. Coach Stefanacci was always sweet and gentle, especially in my youngest years as a student, and then encouraging and motivating to the older students. I have nothing but fond memories of him. I am sad to hear of his passing and send sincere sympathy to his family. Rest in peace Coach <3

Rest In Peace, Coach Stef. You will be missed dearly by everyone who knew you. You were a great coach and an even better person.
You always took the time to coach me up and offer constructive criticism when I needed it. You also knew when to lighten the mood on the practice field or on the golf course.
My condolences go out to the Stefanacci family.

Dear Betty and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Gene was such a wonderful teacher, coach, and friend. Gene was one of the first teachers I met when I first came to Shenendehowa to substitute teach. He was an outstanding role model as a teacher, and a motivating mentor for me as a new teacher. He even helped me get my first job, at Shaker High School.
Gene was also the elementary teacher for both my sons, and they both have many fond memories of fun times in the gym with him.
I took over for Gene at Arongen Elementary School, when he retired from teaching, and his shoes were very hard to fill. He was a great teacher and coach, as well as a very important part of their "Cabinet", a group that made decisions about the school climate. Gene always made decisions based on what was best for kids. I'll always remember him for that and all the wonderful things he did for children. Rest in peace, Gene.

I had the honor and privilege of teaching with Gene and he was the personification of what a true educator should be. He was an outstanding education and gentleman of the highest repute. He was a man of great honor and distinction, who placed the students first and foremost. He was a genuine man who cared about, not just his students, but his friends as well. He supported all the disciplines, and I know that he was held in the highest respect by his students and colleagues. I offer my deepest condolences to his wife and family.

He did so much for so many children and young men of the Shenendehowa community. He will always be highly thought of by my family. My thoughts and prayers to his family and loved ones. Coach would always knock his ball very close and then talk trash to you while you were trying to get closer than he was. He will be missed by many. RIP Coach.
