Obituary of Richard Myron Glusko

Richard Myron “Rick” Glusko, 70, of Hoosick, beloved companion and husband of Mae C. Ray Chrisikos, entered into eternal life on Monday, November 22, 2021.

 

Born in Cohoes, NY, he was the son of the late Myron and Albina Montesi Glusko and was a graduate of Cohoes High School. He served in the U.S. Navy as an AMS3 from 1970 to 1976 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

 

Rick retired in August 2012 from the Watervliet Arsenal where he was a Machinist for 43 years.

 

He loved camping.

 

Beloved companion and husband of Mae, stepfather of Erin (James) Clark, Angelina (Michael) Graham, Peter (Tiphany) Chrisikos, Jamie (Harry Woods) Chrisikos and Geri (Cory Iverson) Chrisikos, brother of Judith (James) Meyer and Bruce (Eileen) Glusko, also survived by 6 step-grandchildren 4 step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel in Oakwood Cemetery (use 186 Oakwood Ave Troy, NY 12182 for GPS directions).

 

Interment with military honors will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY 12871. Please arrive in the right lane just inside the entrance no sooner than 9:35 a.m. and no later than 9:55 a.m.)

 

Rick’s family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to their family and friends, the medical staffs to include the doctors and nurses at both St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany and at NYOH (New York Oncology Hematology) for all of their love, support and assistance.
