Obituary of Anna "Ann" Louise Germano
Our precious mother Anna (Ann) Louise Germano, beloved wife for 68 years of the late Felix James Germano, departed her loving family peacefully on Monday, December 6, 2021 entering eternal life after a heart-breaking period with dementia. Despite this diagnosis, her passion for life was no different and she was an inspiration to all of us for living life to the fullest. As long as Mom could lift a hand, she would lift it in kindness to someone else.
Ann was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Girardi) Farina and was a graduate of Troy High School. After more than 20 years of service, Ann retired as an Administrative Assistant for the New York State Legislature and had fond memories of her time working for Assemblyman James McCabe, Sr. and Assemblyman Elliot Engle. She loved to travel and was an avid golfer who had been a member of the County Club of Troy enjoying the competitions with her friends in the golf leagues.
Ann was the devoted mother of Anthony J. (Laurie) Germano of North Greenbush, Cathy Krasnopolski of North Greenbush and Kelley (Gregory) Brown of Manchester, NH; sister of the late Anthony and Joan Farina and survived by several adoring grandchildren and loving great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to St. Michael the Archangel Church, 175 Williams Rd., Troy, NY 12180 on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. that will be followed by interment at the Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont, NY.
