Obituary of Carol M. Twardy

Carol M. Twardy, 80, of Rotterdam, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December
14th at St. Peter’s Hospice. Born in Albany to Paul and Nellie Kendall, she graduated
from Albany High School and Mildred Elley with a Secretarial Degree. Carol met her
beloved husband Jack at Tobin Meat Packing Company where she worked as a Secretary.
She then worked for the Mohonasen School District for 23 years and retired from. Jack
and Carol relocated to Murrells Inlet, SC in 2005 and enjoyed many years with friends.
Carol is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Jack, her sons John (Jamie), Tim,
and daughter Debbie (Bill). Carol is also survived by grandchildren Charice, Brett, Alex,
Ryan, Kyle, Evan, Sean and great-grandchildren Victoria, Prince and Dominick.
Carol was blessed to have brothers and sisters in-laws as her cherished family. Her
husband and children would like to thank Joan/Garry VanOrt, Bob/Betty Twardy,
Fred/Carole Twardy and all of their children for their love and support. Carol was
affectionately known as “Ma” and has a special place in the hearts of all of her “adopted”
children including her “3rd son” Greg Miller and family.
Carol has requested no services. A celebration of life will be held in her honor after the
holidays.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Peter’s Hospice. Memorial
donations may be made to St. Peter’s Hospice at 315 S. Manning Blvd, Albany, NY
12208.
