Obituary of Linda S. Abbt

Linda S. Abbt, 70, of Brunswick, beloved wife for 34 years of William Abbt of Brunswick, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 19, 2021.

Born in Ballston Spa, New York, she was the daughter of the late Charles Decker and the late Margaret “Pat” Cleaves Decker Guadreau. Linda was educated in the Green Island and Cohoes schools. She later attended the EOC where she earned her Cosmetology License. She also was top of her paralegal class.

Linda was proud to have been a homemaker and caretaker to her parents and in-laws. She was also proud to have been an “Army Veteran” as she would say for her service while she had been employed at the Watervliet Arsenal.

Linda loved her grandchildren! She also loved the ocean, fishing as well as her husband and family. She loved traveling and all of her family have shared the “get lost ride” adventures. She absolutely loved time spent together.

Beloved wife of Bill, devoted mother of Matthew (Jenelle) Bousquet, BillieLynne (William) Taurone and Jamie (Andrew) Abbt, loving sister of Ralph (Pat) Smaldone, Michael (Karen) Decker, Patti Warren, Laurie Franchi and the late Nancy Cartwright, Charles C. Decker, Sr., Robert Smaldone, Charles K. Decker and Kelly Decker. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was eagerly anticipating the addition of 2 new great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Dr., Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923-1389, in memory of Linda S. Abbt.
