Obituary of R. Jean Campbell
R. Jean Campbell, 88, formerly of Lansingburgh, beloved wife for over 63 years of G. Frank Campbell of Brunswick, peacefully entered into eternal life on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, surrounded by and in the loving care of her family.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Edwin K. and Rosella Roberts Brownell and was educated in the Lansingburgh schools.
Jean was employed at the former Cluett, Peabody & Co. in Troy and at Alpha Lanes in Lansingburgh.
She was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Troy and was a member of Upstate Myasthenia Gravis Chapter, Watervliet Senior Center, her various bocce league’s and she was a 4H leader.
Jean enjoyed her family, camping and fishing, traveling, her card groups and her winter stays in Florida.
Beloved wife of Frank, devoted mother of Frank S. Campbell, Rose-Mary (Robert) Gotham and Linda (Leo) Lynch, she was pre deceased by her sisters Catherine Brownell, Francis Danaher and Eleanor St. Denis, also survived by her grandchildren Christine Gotham, Jennifer Remington, Robert Gotham, Frank and Jared Campbell, Katie and John Lynch, her great grandchildren; Christian, MaKenzie, Brady, Wyatt, Travis and Parker and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday, December 26, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, New York 12182 and to her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at
St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be held in St. John’s Cemetery, Lansingburgh at a later date.
Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Upstate NY Myasthenia Gravis Chapter and Community Hospice of Rensselaer, in memory of R. Jean Campbell.
