Obituary of Lucyna Kozdra
Lucyna Kozdra, 91, of Clifton Park, peacefully entered into eternal life on Sunday, April 10, 2022.
Born in Miedzyles, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Maria Garstka Wozniak. Lucyna grew up in Poland, surviving World War II. She married Jozef Kozdra in 1960 and came to the U.S. in 1965. She was the devoted wife of Jozef Kozdra, who passed away on July 12, 2013.
Lucyna was a teacher with a second career as a seamstress. She loved teaching, sewing, singing, keeping up with current events and correspondence with family. She was a devoted wife and homemaker.
Lucyna was a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park.
She was predeceased by her siblings: Roman, Jadwiga, Cecylia, Halina, Kazimierz, Czeslaw, Jan and Wicusia. Survived by her nieces Jadwiga Drumheller of Coraopolis, PA and Mariola Pratt of Valatie NY, as well as nieces and nephews, relatives and friends in Poland.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation at St. Edward the Confessor Church Chapel, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd, Clifton Park, NY 12065 on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:55 A.M. and to the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. that morning.
Interment will take place directly after the mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Avenue, Colonie, NY 12205.
