Obituary of Emily L. Rosen
Emily L. “Penny” Rosen, 82, of North Greenbush, beloved wife of the late Jack Rosen, entered into eternal life surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 11, 2022.
Born in Watervliet, she was the daughter of the late Irving and Emily Kimball Parker and was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1959.
Affectionately known as “Penny”, she had been employed at the Van Rensselaer Manor.
In her younger years, she enjoyed vacationing with her family as well as bowling and volleyball with friends. She loved Saturday night dinners out with Jack and in her latter years, she enjoyed outings with her friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Church in North Greenbush.
Beloved mother of Sarah “Sissy” (Matthew) Dahl of Brandon, FL, Marc (Vickie) Rosen and Andy (Michelle) Rosen, both of Troy, cherished grandmother of Jessica Dahl, Marc Rosen, Jr., Samantha Rosen, Hayley Rosen and Kyla Rosen, adored great grandmother of Benjamin Adams, Elijah Adams, Caroline Rosen and Riley Emory, also survived by her dear friend Liz St. Pierre. She was also predeceased by her siblings; Willard, Madeline, Eleanor, Cecelia, Irving, Elaine, Worthington, Joseph, Marjorie, Ursula and Theodore.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 175 Williams Rd, Troy, NY 12180.
