Obituary of Robert E. Jones

Robert E. “Bob” Jones, 86, of Cohoes, formerly of Speigletown, husband of the late Joyce C. Mucka Jones, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Paul and Olive Sharp Jones and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Bob was a machinist. He enjoyed camping, had been a dedicated volunteer of the Speigletown Fire Department and was an active member of Transfiguration Parish in Speigletown.

Bob was the beloved husband of the late Joyce C. Mucka Jones, devoted father of Steven (Theresa) Jones, Theresa (Gary) Curzi and Kevin (Patty) Jones; brother of Patricia (Ronald) Turcotte, Paula (Todd) Garneau, Sharon (Michael) Godsen and Maryanne (Stanley) Zydek, also survived by six grandchildren and twelve nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Transfiguration Parish (formerly St. Bonaventure’s Church in Speigletown) 50 Hillview Dr., Troy, NY 12182.

Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Ave (corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.

Interment will be held in St., Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to one’s own favorite charity in memory of Bob.
