Obituary of Patricia L. Schneider
Patricia Schneider, 78, of Brunswick, beloved wife for over 59 years of Donald E. Schneider of Brunswick, peacefully entered into eternal life on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Born in Cohoes, New York, Patricia was the daughter of the late Frederick and Cecile Gamache Peterson and was a graduate of Keveny Memorial Academy and of Austin Beauty School.
Mrs. Schneider had been an Elections Poll Watcher in Brunswick and also did private duty home healthcare.
She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Schneider enjoyed camping, boating, trips to the ocean, was a Girls Scout leader and an Assistant Den Mother with the Cub Scouts, both in Brunswick. She also served on the Brittonkill Central School District PTA. Patricia was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Sycaway, where she had been a Sunday School Teacher and Eucharistic Minister having tended to those not able to leave their residence and get to Church.
Beloved wife of Donald, devoted mother of Deborah (Wayne) Pulver, Donald E. (Kathleen) Schneider, Jr. and Diane (fiancé, John Nelson) Schneider, sister of Lois (John) Oglesby and Gayle (late, Richard) Klein, cherished grandmother of Megan (Joel) Ducey, Kimberly (fiancé, Brandon Smith) Pulver, David (Chere) Pulver, Taylor Schneider and Brad Schneider, adored great grandmother of Avery Ducey and Kristopher Pulver, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Patricia’s Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 N. Lake Avenue (at the corner of Marshland Ct.) Troy, NY 12180.
The Schneider family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Albany Memorial and the staff at Samaritan Hospital ICU for all their support and care
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Patricia Schneider.
