Obituary of Rebecca M. D'Angelo
Rebecca M. D’Angelo, “ZiZi Becky”, 100, of Troy, peacefully entered into eternal life at home on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
Born in Candela, Italy, she came to the United States as a young girl and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and Albany Business College.
After 38 years of dedicated service, Miss. D’Angelo retired in 1982 from the New York State Department of Labor where she served as the Supervisor of Claim Service Section for the Director of Unemployment Insurance in Albany.
She enjoyed oil painting which she was quite accomplished at and her works are beautifully displayed throughout the homes of her family. Rebecca was a devout communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church of Troy.
She is the beloved aunt “ZiZi Becky” of Patricia Foran (Mary King) and Mark D’Angelo (Joann O’Hare and is also survived by her loving grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings; the late Ralph J. (late, Mildred) D’Angelo, the late Leonard (late, Elva) D’Angelo and the late Carmella G. D’Angelo and nephews; the late Chris D’Angelo and the late Paul D’Angelo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 N. Lake Avenue (at the corner of Marshland Ct.) Troy, NY 12180 on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
There are no public calling hours.
Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy.
The family would like to thank Rebecca’s caregivers for going above and beyond with their exceptional and loving care which allowed for her to remain at home.
