Obituary of Carrie M. Nieminski
Carrie M. Nieminski, 92, of Ballston Lake, NY passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 16, 2022 after a long illness. Carrie was born on July 17, 1930 to John and Lena (Dupont) Intermor. After graduating high school in Brooklyn, NY, she met the love of her life, Henry A. Nieminski. Carrie enjoyed spending time with Henry, a Julliard trained musician, at his various band venues. They married August 25, 1954. Carrie dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Carrie wanted all seven of her children to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Carrie, a value instilled in all those around her. When all of the children were out of the house, Carrie began to work for the County of Saratoga in Ballston Spa, NY in the Social Services' department so she could help others. Carrie was a passionate reader and loved old movies. She was a wonderful cook and baker. When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she was an avid volunteer at the Clifton Park Senior Center and Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake. The hole left by her absence will be impossible to fill. We will miss her greatly.
She is predeceased by her husband Henry A. Nieminski, siblings Phyllis, John, Joseph and Perry, son-in-law Mark Harvey and great-grandchild Graham Nieminski. She is survived by her seven children: Debra Harvey, Christopher (Karen) Nieminski, Janet (Frank Pascazio) Nieminski, Steven (Nancy) Nieminski, Joseph (Sue) Nieminski, David (Karen) Nieminski, and Alexander Nieminski. She is loved by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial mass will be held on Thursday Sept. 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Route 9, Round Lake, NY 12151. Visitation will be from 10-11 am Thursday in the Church prior to the mass.
